Chelsea students and staff donated over 50 full boxes of food to the Frankfort Food Pantry during Stack the Stock!
Students at all three FSD 157-C schools honored veterans on Friday, November 11. Hickory Creek hosted a Veterans Day concert Thursday night and a veterans breakfast Friday morning. Chelsea, Grand Prairie, and Hickory Creek all held assemblies to show their appreciation for our local veterans.
Congratulations to the HCMS students chosen for the District 1 ILMEA band and orchestra festival: Ellie Freeland, Nathan Freeland, Matthew Jansen, Taylor Jones, Alex Langlois, Morgan Stoiber, Reese Valek, and Elise Wyatt!
Hickory Creek welcomed author Dan Gemeinhart, author of many young adult novels including “The Honest Truth”, “Scar Island”, and “The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise” yesterday! Students heard all about his life as an author and the importance of not giving up.
Grand Prairie will begin collecting items for care packages for servicemen and women. Items, including toothpaste, shampoo, mints, candy, soap, and individually packaged snacks, may be donated to the main office or your child's classroom teacher from November 1-11.
Students at all three schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week from October 25-28. They participated in a variety of fun activities, learned about the importance of being kind, and dressed up for spirit days.
Save the date for Hickory Creek’s annual Pink Out basketball game! On Tuesday, October 25, the Tigers will take on the Mokena Meteors at 4:00 and 5:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
Chelsea Tigers mixed it up during lunch on Friday, October 21! Each student was given a colored wristband that corresponded to a new table to sit at during lunch. Chelsea Tigers made a lot of new friends!
The varsity girls softball took second in the IESA State tournament! This marks the fifth State appearance in eight years for the varsity softball team.
