Registration Information

New Student and Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year:

New student registration must be done in person, by appointment only.  To make an appointment contact the District Registrar, Mrs. Chris Brooks 815-806-4001. Questions regarding the registration process can also be directed to Mrs. Brooks via email at [email protected].  Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible for kindergarten.

Returning Student Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year: Information regarding the 2025-2026 returning student registration process has been mailed to district households. If you did not receive a letter for your currently enrolled child(ren), please contact Mrs. Brooks via email at [email protected]. Current Speech or Project BEGIN Students are considered returning students will receive registration information for the 2025-2026 school year in the mail.

Residency Verification for Returning Students 
The district has partnered with a third party to assist with residency verification processes.  As we transition to the new process, it may be necessary for families to share documentation.  The district registrar, Mrs. Chris Brooks, will only contact families that need to produce proof of residency.  Families who received notification to verify residency will not have access to the returning student registration process until enrollment has been verified.

New Student Registration

Please call the District Office at 815-469-5922 to schedule a registration appointment. 

Required Documents
  • Certified legal birth certificate
  • Proof of Residency (documents from all three categories required)

Category I – Photo Identification 

 

Category II – One document required showing parent/legal guardian’s name and address 

  • Current monthly mortgage statement 
  • Current signed and dated lease agreement
  • Most recent property tax bill 
  • Closing documents of recent purchase
  • Residency Attestation Form (If parent/guardian is not the owner or lease holder of student residence.)
 

Category III – One document required showing parent/legal guardian’s name and address 

  • Current utility bill (within the last billing cycle, 30 days) - electric, gas water and/or waste 
  • Current homeowner or renter insurance policy statement
  • Vehicle registration
After required documentation has been provided, registration will be completed online.
