Mrs. Rachel Wyllie

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Wyllie. I am the Middle School Math Instructional Coach. I am entering my seventh year of teaching, and I couldn't be more honored to be a part of the Frankfort School District. Leaving my own classroom was a difficult decision, but I am most looking forward to helping support our already-amazing teachers in math curriculum and instruction this school year. 

 

I am from a small town in central Illinois, but moved to Pensacola, Florida, during the summer of 2019. My husband and I both received job opportunities there at the same time, so we decided to leave home & venture to the beach life!  I taught 8th and 9th grade Mathematics during my three years in Florida. I loved every minute of my time there, and it is truly my second home. However, this past summer, my husband received a great job opportunity in Illinois, so we made the decision to move back. Although I am still coming to terms with the reality of winter months again, we are very happy to return to some of our closest family & friends!

 

As for my background, I graduated from Illinois State University with my Bachelor in Science (Human Resources & Organizational Leadership) in 2013. I decided to pursue education shortly after, & graduated from Lewis University with my Master in Arts (Elementary Education, K-9, endorsed in Mathematics, ELA, & Social Sciences) in 2016. I have taught four years of middle school Mathematics & ELA, as well as two years of high school Algebra. 

 

Some of my interests include going on hikes with my dog, Bo, attending concerts & sporting events, exercising regularly, & catching up with friends & family.  When I'm not working, you can usually find me doing one of the above things!
