Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program-D.A.R.E.

In January, we will begin our Drug Abuse Resistance Education program with Officer Riff from the Frankfort  Police Department. Along with being our D.A.R.E. instructor, he is also our district resource officer. D.A.R.E. is a prevention education program designed to teach students the appropriate skills needed to resist pressures which may influence them to experiment with alcohol and tobacco. They will also be introduced to the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model that assists them in problem solving, being a good citizen and making wise decisions. The curriculum is interactive and promotes active participation by the students. Following completion of the 10 lessons, students will have the opportunity to participate in a D.A.R.E. graduation ceremony and earn a certificate.
