Hi everyone!

 

I am super happy to be back to school today. I loved seeing so many of the kids at the assembly this morning!!! Thank you so much for the thoughtful messages and just being so kind with the cancelations these last couple of days. That has never happened before and (fingers crossed!) hopefully won't happen again anytime soon!

 

So down to business! Our concert is just a few short weeks away on Tuesday, December 12th! I'm excited that all of our students, 6-8^th grade, are playing quite a few pieces together... but I do want to get all these amazing kids together for a couple of rehearsals before the concert. So beginning the week we get back from break, we will be doing one combined rehearsal each week. One rehearsal day is changing for our 6^th graders, but I am still only having them come in 2 mornings each week. I know how hard it is to get some of them out of bed, I wouldn't dare add an extra day! 😆 6^th grade will rehearse on Wednesday and Thursday mornings the two weeks leading up to the concert. 7th/8th, you will stay with your regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule.

Tuesday, November 28^th - 7th/8^th Grade Orchestra 7:00 a.m.

Wednesday, November 29^th - 6^th Grade Orchestra 7:00 a.m.

Friday, December 1^st - Advanced Group 7:00 a.m.

 

Tuesday, December 5^th - 7th/8^th Grade Orchestra 7:00 a.m.

Wednesday, December 6^th - 6^th Grade Orchestra 7:00 a.m.

Friday, December 8^th - Advanced Group 7:00 a.m.

 

Tuesday, December 12^th - Possible 7/8^th morning rehearsal (TBD)

 

 

 

I am so excited to rehearse our combined pieces! We haven't had an orchestra this size since before Covid hit. It's so great to see our program growing so much again. I hope this email isn't too overwhelming. If you are ever unsure of our schedule, please always check our current calendar (links are always included at the end of my emails). If you've printed out the calendar, please be sure to check the link as we are constantly updating.
