Welcome
Welcome to 8th Grade Math
I am very excited to begin the 2023-2024 school year and to work with the Hickory Creek 8th graders! This will be my second year at Hickory Creek and my 6th year working in the district. Prior to my time at Hickory Creek, I worked in a variety of roles at Chelsea Intermediate School.
In 8th grade math we will cover the following topics:

- Proportional and Linear Relationships
- Systems of Equations
- Real Numbers
- Exponents
- Scientific Notation
- Pythagorean Theorem
- Functions
- Volume
- Rigid Transformations and Congruence
- Transversals and Linear Relationship
- Patterns and Bivariate Data
- Polynomials
Throughout this school year I hope to instill in my students a strong foundation in pre-algebra topics which will allow them to be successful in their high school algebra classes.
