About Me

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year! As a new school year begins, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kayla Pfeiffer, and this is my eigth year as speech-language pathologist. I am looking forward to a year of progress and fun with my students! I am a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this school year! It is my main priority to create a learning environment which challenges and supports students to reach their fullest potential while making them feel welcome, safe, and excited to learn and grow. One way to assist in improving their skills is through practice at home. By working on your child’s goals outside the therapy room, we will strengthen what is being taught within. I will periodically send materials home to practice targeted skills.

As always, I would like to keep the lines of communication open with you. Below you will find my contact information. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am always willing to help where I can.

I look forward to a wonderful school year!
