About Me

 I am one of the two 7th grade Social Studies Teacher at HCMS. I have been in the district for 18 years working in seventh grade. I have taught many years of ELA and Social Studies. Being a part of the Hickory Creek family is a privilege and I am grateful for the students, and staff, I am surrounded by.

 

Thank you in advance to all the parents for sending us such amazing individuals. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time with any questions or concerns. I, myself, am a mother of four, some middle school aged as well. When it comes to 'understanding' those struggles and when communication is needed, I completely understand where my students, and parents, are coming from.

Our communication platform with students will be on Microsoft TEAMS in 7th grade social studies; this includes reminders, important dates, chats, lessons, and more.  We encourage our students to advocate for themselves when they have a concern or question, and thank you in advance for the support at home as we together do what is best for our students in making their school year as successful as possible.
