Welcome to Mrs. Bertucci's First Grade

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!!
I am Mrs. Bertucci and I teach first grade in the gold community.  I have 22 wonderful students this year.  I have 11 boys and 11 girls.  We have great things happening every day here in room 255.  This year may look different but the students are growing and happy.

I'll tell you a little about myself.  I am the youngest of 12 children.  I have 8 sisters and 3 brothers.  I love coming from a large family.   I live in New Lenox and have been married to Frank Bertucci for 29 years.  We have two children.  Nicholas is 26 and lives in Seattle.  Brianna is 23 and is a nurse at Hope in Oaklawn.  She still lives at home.  I also have a little fur child--Hank.  He is a black lab who is 7 years old.  He keeps us all on our toes.  Brianna owns 2 horses--Breezy and Franklin.

I use emails and Seesaw as my main ways to communicate.  I am always happy to contact you if you have any questions.  We work best as a team!

Yours in Learning,
Patty Bertucci

Erin’s Law 2020-2021

We are required by Erin's Law to provide lessons on sexual abuse and prevention education. During the weeks of November 16th and January 25th, Grand Prairie Elementary School Social Workers will be teaching a lesson in your child’s classroom about the "Think First and Stay Safe" program. The lesson in November will cover the concepts of "Using My Built In Computer: Staying Healthy and Safe." The lesson in January will cover "Laws Help Protect Me: Kids Have Rights Too!" and "Listening to My Instincts: No Secrets".

Should your child have any questions, you may refer to the handout that will be provided to them on the day of the lesson. If you have additional questions feel free to contact a School Social Worker – Morgan Bilthuis, Rebekah Munch and Kelly McGovern
