Classroom Focus
Arrival and Dismissal
We continue to work on classroom routines when entering the classroom in the morning and packing up for dismissal.  Step by step directions on what to do are always on the front PowerPoint.  It should be followed very easily.
Dismissal can be a bit crazy but the reminders are again on the board. The students can look at the checklist of what to unpack or pack up and what to have out for class.

Homework / Assignment Notebook
We need to focus on bringing these items home and then returning them each day.  Too many kids are forgetting multiple time a week.  I will be keeping track of missing homework to hopefully help us improve.

Talking
Too much random talking during lessons and work time continue to happen.  We have many great examples of hardworking students but we need more students to help us out.

Students will get a check by their name when they talk or make a poor choice.  Three checks in a day will result in a REFLECTION. Hopefully we will see improvement.

 Computers go home on Wednesdays
Laptops can be brought home on Wednesday.  They need to come back.  First Priority is Reflex.  Zearn, Prodigy and Freckle are all the next options for what to do.  Each week I assign a few assignments in Prodigy and Freckle for students to work on throughout the week.  In Zearn, we would like students to plug away on the weekly lessons when possible.

Social Studies
We have begun the South region with states, capitals and placement.

Science
We will begin our new unit in a few weeks.  We will focus on the Human Machine.  It focuses on plants and animals and how they have internal and external structures that suport them.

Homework Reminders
Don't forget to check the math homework each night and sign the assignment notebook. (signature Morning block only)

Classroom Allergies
We are a Peanut Aware classroom this year so please consider peanut / nut alternatives for individual student lunches and snacks.

Classroom Behavior
Overall the class is chatting to much.  Listening to understand not to reply is our goal.

Students need to continue to work on Zearn throughout the week. I would love for them to keep as close to the current lesson if they can. I will move students up levels throughout the week when needed.

Students should be able to log into their laptop with their passwords.  The password should be pasted in their agenda notebook.
