today you guys are going to be learning the rules and how to play the game of Truth ball the game of Truth All displayed using the entire basketball court you're going to notice that there are two rebounds surfaces located on either end of the court it's different than other sports the rebound surfaces can be used by either team there's no designated sides each team is allowed to shoot the ball at either Ebon surface and game point that either Yvonne surface in front of each rebound surface there's a half circle that's made up of Holly spots that half circle is called the forbidden zone there's a few rules when it comes to the forbidden zone you are not allowed to have a foot inside the forbidden zone with a tchoukball in your hand you also cannot throw the ball in a way that it bounces off the rebound and lands inside the forbidden zone if it hits on a poly spot that is considered inside the forbidden zone and that's a penalty for the shooting team start the game start with rock-paper-scissors the winning team will be able to start with the ball to begin the winning team so in this case the blue team is going to bring the ball next to one of the rebound surfaces that person will now it's the score so they'll say 00 and from there they can pass the ball into one of their teammates the big thing with tchoukball is called the rules of 3 you're allowed three steps with the ball you're allowed to hold the ball up for 3 seconds and you can only pass to teammates three times three passes within your team you have to shoot the ball that first pass that inbounding pass does not count as one of the three passes the objective the team on offense so in this case the blue team is going to try to pass back and forth no more than three times and they're going to try to shoot the ball 3 Bound surface in order to actually score point they have to shoot the ball at the rebound surface and get that ball to come off of it and hit the floor somewhere outside of the forbidden zone if it hits the floor in balance and outside that forbidden zone the team will score a point defense so in this case the red team the team without the ball they are not allowed to interfere with any of the blue team's passes that means they can't intercept it they can't knock it down the only job of the defense is to try to catch the tchoukball as the offense throws it against that rebound surface if they can catch it before it hits the ground it is not a point for the team that was shooting once the defense so the red team catches the ball they become the offensive team and the shooting team which was the blue team will become the defense right away the red team can shoot the ball at that same surface or they can go to the opposite surface and start passing back and forth with teammates or remember the red team is only allowed three steps with the ball in their hands they can only hold the ball for 3 seconds and they only get three passes the player that receives the third pass has one option and that is the shoot the ball they can still use her three steps they like your team is not required to pass it three times though you can shoot after one pass after two passes but after that third pass if you get to that you have to take a shot if the ball hits the floor outside of the forbidden zone it's going to be a point for the shooting team so in this case the red team shot the ball and it hit the floor outside forbidden zone so that's one point for the red team just like the start of the game if a team scores the opposite team gets the ball so the blue team would take the ball they're going to bring it back to the rebound surface they have to announce the score before throwing it it so the blue team would say the score 0 to 1 1 news is after team scores a point the next shot is required to happen at the opposite rebound surface so The Blue Team couldn't just turn around and shoot at the surface at the red team just scored at they have to go down to the other end the defense is not allowed in any way to interfere with a pass that means can't intercept it they can't knock it down they can't get in the way if they end up interfering with a pass that's called a penalty whenever there's a penalty the opposite team in this case the blue team will get the ball right where the penalty occurred right away once that blue team picks up the ball to get to start playing again the same as the defense the shooting team they can't interfere with the defense so The Blue Team can't get in the way of any of the red players from Catching the ball after it's shot 3 bouncer if that shooting team is in the way it's going to be a penalty and the defense is going to end up with a ball and no point will be scored remember after the defense catches it off of the surface they don't need to pass it they can immediately shoot if they want to the ball landed inside or inbound off of the rebound surface so that's going to be a point for the red team blue team is going to take the ball and bring it next to the surface and they're going to announce the score is 0 to 2 remember when you inbound the ball that does not count as one of your three passes this game is really similar to Air Force football Ultimate Frisbee any time there's an incomplete pass or a pass goes out of bounds the opposite team the defending team immediately gets the ball so in this case it was an incomplete pass between the blue team so right away the red team gets to pick up the tchoukball and they get to start passing it or shooting it without pausing in the game so scoring like I said earlier your team can only score points by throwing the ball against the surface and having it bounced outside the forbidden zone the challenging part with you fall is your team gives the other team a point if one of the three scenarios occur want you throw the ball and it completely misses the surface if you throw it and you miss a surface entirely that's a point for the opposite team the second time you give a team a point if you throw the ball it hits the surface but it bounces inside the forbidden zone that's going to result in a point for the red team the third way that you give the opposite team of point is if the person who throws the ball gets hit by their own shot so the blue teams going to take a shot here was going to hit the surface and bounced back and hit the person that threw that will result in the red team scoring a point penalties are going to happen pretty frequently they are not points for any team that just means that the opposite team is going to get the ball where the penalty occurred in please play continues a penalty is if you throw the ball and it hits the blue part of the surface it touches any part of that blue surface it's a penalty you'll actually hear the difference when it hits the metal rim compared to when it hits the netting the second type of penalty is if you throw the ball and it lands out of bounds after it hits the surface so the blue team is going to throw it it hits the surface and then continues to travel out of bounds that's not a point for either team the red team's going to be able to get the ball right where it went out of bounds and they continue playing another common penalty is if you throw it so in this case the red team throws it it hits the surface and then it hits another person from that shooting team so another red player in this case touch the ball it is not a point it's a penalty remember it's play a point for the opposite team is when the shooter gets hit by their own shot if it's another teammate that got it will only be a penalty it's also a penalty if have the rules of 3 are broken so somebody takes more than three steps with a ball that's a penalty is someone takes a longer than 3 seconds with the ball that is also a penalty and then if a T-Maxx takes more than three passes so if they pass it for a fourth time that's going to result in a penalty
