all right this tutorial is going to be on how to create a teacher page so this is the log on screen I remember what the old website that used to be problems logging in even when you're putting in the right username and password will not anymore go just click login with office and it'll take the accounting or signed into office with I just login straight in my mind has to because this is just my teacher page and then the 16 Test 2 is a test teacher account that is just a blank page that I'm going to use to show you guys how to build a page from the ground up so this is your main dashboard once cuz your whole bunch of options that we're just going to ignore for now and come back to later most of the preliminary setup is going to be from your hamburger menu right here then page manager and then pages if we go to my teacher page which you can get to from the main FST web page which looks like this then you'll go to contact and then staff directory and then this feature I like a lot you can just my keyboard will work search someone and they'll come up Mason easy so this is teacher page what we're going to do is just the intro page so what you see when you first click on that teachers page so go ahead and get started on that we go to add page and bad mold ignored all this and just go to blank page show page title this is what's going to show up right here so in this instance we'll just name it show page set that and then we'll go to add and we're going to add a little text box which is going to be all of this here so that would be content you can also add photos BIOS button photos is like this little scrolling a group of images that I have that I show you how to do later files obviously the buttons are these which are all clickable they can take you wherever you want them to go but for now we'll just add content for a whatever in there I am the Math teachers I said that we have that and then it'll look like this you can also add text boxes or buttons or whatever you want to add on the side here which would show up somewhere in here I don't have anything in there you want a few so now we can go ahead and add a link so if we want to edit this we can just click into it and then we'll go ahead and add a link this one is the link button double click that let It'll ask for the URL will just add Google and then you can change what you wanted to display here so I'll just have it's a quick here so that it becomes a clickable link so mine I have all of these here words underlined R clickable links and the display text is here idiot up adding a button is exactly the same so you'll just this will be the display text so google.com and then we'll just put google.com and you always want to oops you always want to open a new tab mysterious if you don't trust me so will click publish and then it'll look something like this a little Bare Bones but you could ideally want the buttons to be at the top I think that look back at least so if you click the six. Here you can rearrange whatever you want let's just go ahead and add an image I'll take just any random old image will use one of the same ones that were my teacher page so we'll just go ahead and drag this in and then if you want to add more than one you certainly can will add some more they are from my page and that if you click the gear here you can have it so the rotate is like mine where I got it scrolling through all of these images here so we'll just leave that selected and Save and now we will publish and then we will click on our account here public link which will bring you here and this is what it looks like to the public this little pain here you can click here to send a email directly to a great teacher page Iran and then right button is an option for parents to subscribe to updates for whenever you update the teacher page this can be useful if you're posting assignments on their due dates anything significant it will also only send one email usually at the end of the day it won't said like a thousand emails if you put a thousand things on your teacher page it'll only be one email just kind of summarizing what all you have updated and then also well we go to my page house. My picture here to show you how to do that if we go 2 account and then profile you just hover over a little guy here click the pencil and then same story just drag and drop you could use the corners to crop it to wherever you want to go crop and Save and then once we go back to our public fresh air but let's go back and let that a new page videos and we will click new video or audio and things started will just drag and drop will take just any old video here Dragon job it also gives you the option to embed if you want to grab a embed code go to beaches in the web page title will just call it a video description this will show up just under the video video video description is the action to add closed captioning if you would like and then we can just quick safe Sentinel show L give you substitute tectonic Lake public views when was added stuff like that and then if we go back to our page and refresh all your recent posts will show up at the bottom of this first page whenever you have here so in this case we added the video and it's a show up right here I'll tell you when you added it and by who diesel also show up videos so you can go here and it'll also be in posts they can change that do you like your hamburger menu page pages same story here what have you seen at 6. So you can move them up and down in the order that you want them to be like I said I'd like to just leave the intro page first it I think it looks you can also hit your three dots here if you want to unplug unpublish it or edited edited it will just bring us back here on publish will hide it from the teacher page Now videos is gone next and we can go into a little bit more what is in these menus plan you just have a feel free to add whatever you would like add event assignment get out of due dates and details and then a link if need to and then so this is probably a feature we're going to end up using a little bit later on once everyone is a little more comfortable with the teacher it is and how they work announce you have the email sender which is a feature that I like a lot it allows you to send email blast to contact Lee that you can create so we will just create a contact list real quick so this is probably going to be your parents so if you want to send an email blast all your parents make a new list and we will call it. So we will add contacts here first name last name you can add all the details here and now we have a contact list where we can send email blast to with the email sender also another great future cure and you can add in bulk and then drag and drop a file CSV if you export out of PowerSchool you can just drag and drop that pile rated here media you can add photos or videos pretty self-explanatory posts will be everything that you posed to the teacher page you can also add a new post here which can be just an announcement it can be a ling photofile video cetera alright it'll probably be it for now I try to keep it as brief as I could that should be enough to kind of get you guys started I do think that this is an improvement from the other website and the interstate sign it is a lot more user-friendly everything is where you think it would be everything is kind of done in a similar way I'll try to make more of these videos if you guys want to see anything else or if I realize I left something out that could be useful and then I do also have another video that is actually the training that I took with the edlio rep that tree is an hour long. I don't know how many guys are going to want to sit through that whole thing he really goes into detail on everything you can do with the teacher page and it is an hour long so I can had to keep mine pretty brief but still cover as much as I could and tried to cover the what I feel at least is most important I mean but yeah I think that should be enough to get you guys started just play around get creative like I said page Management in then Pages at a page this is where you're going to be doing most of the edits on the page like I said blank page you could call it a diamond links whatever you want to put up to you like I said just get creative have fun with it and let me know if you guys have any other questions before your Reach Out email and I really think that you guys are all going to definitely like this site over the old one is that it's a lot more user-friendly and there are a lot more features that I think will be useful to us and that we could see us getting a lot out of Philly
