Welcome to STEM!

I’m so excited to kick off another amazing year of STEM learning with your students! This is my fifth year teaching STEM, and I can’t wait to share all the hands-on projects and creative challenges we have planned. 

I’ve been part of the Grand Prairie family since 2004, teaching Kindergarten, Music, and Second Grade before moving into STEM. Outside of school, I love traveling and tackling home improvement projects. I also enjoy spending time with my two daughters—Kaitlyn, a junior at LWE, and Kaylee, a 7th grader at Hickory Creek. 

This year, students will dive into hands-on activities alongside work on computers and iPads.  Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders will explore engineering concepts and learn coding through fun, interactive programs. 1st and 2nd graders will also practice typing skills to build confidence and speed.
