All About Mrs. Roney

Welcome to the 4th Grade!

 

My name is Mrs. Andrea Roney, and this is my 13th year teaching 4th grade at Chelsea Elementary School.  Not only do I have a degree in Elementary Education, but I also have a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa, and a Masters of Teaching and Learning from the University of St. Francis.  I grew up in Iowa and moved to Illinois after I was married 24 years ago!  My husband, Justin, and I have two children, Brianna and Jackson, as well as our dog Shelby and two cats Tommy and Alfie.  Brianna is attending Illinois State University to study Early Childhood Education and Jackson will be a Junior at Andrew High School.  Our family enjoys traveling and watching sports together...especially hockey and baseball, for which Jackson plays both!

On my own free time I love to read mystery books, put together puzzles, and play games on my phone!  I look forward to sharing more about myself and learning about you this year!
