Grand Prairie recently held a collection for military servicemen and women during the month of November. Donated items include individual size snacks, toothpaste, shampoo, and playing cards.

Hickory Creek’s 6th grade girls basketball team took second place in the Des Plaines Valley Conference tournament over the weekend.

Students at all three 157-C schools took time to honor our veterans on Veteran's Day, Thursday, November 11.

Under the direction of band and orchestra instructors Shannon Shanahan and Doug Adams, students from Hickory Creek Middle School auditioned to participate in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) honor band and orchestra.

2nd graders just finished up their social studies unit learning all about government and laws. The Mayor of Frankfort came and spoke to each class about what he does as mayor!

Hickory Creek recently held pink out basketball games to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Students were encouraged to wear pink and take photos at the photo booth.

At the October 20 Board of Education meeting, several of the athletic teams from Hickory Creek were honored for their State performances.

Hickory Creek cross country runners are heading to State on Saturday! The girls team placed 2nd overall at Sectionals at Martino over the weekend and will compete as a team.

Hickory Creek was recently ranked 10 in U.S. World and News Report’s list of Best Illinois Middle Schools. U.S. News and World Report determined the rankings by looking at student proficiency and performance in math and reading.
