Ms. Prokaski 8th Grade ELA

Hello!

 

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am Ms. Prokaski and I am the 8th grade Core ELA teacher on Team 8A here at HCMS. I am excited for my 11th year in education.

 

I am originally born and raised in in Illinois. I went to the University of Tampa where I got my B.S. in Elementary Education. I have experiences in teaching grades 5-8 in the states of Florida, Colorado, and now Illinois. I have loved every opportunity I have received teaching in a variety of settings and students and love my home here at HCMS.

 

Outside of teaching, I love being outdoors hiking, kayaking, running, and being on the water. I also love cuddling up with my cat Yuna and reading a good book. My favorite sport is soccer and have coached it for multiple years. I also love checking out new restaurants and traveling to new places.

 

I cannot wait for this to be an amazing school year with many terrific new memories!
