“The Hickory Creek varsity softball team capped off an amazing season with an incredible weekend at the IESA State Finals, in which they played in the State Championship Game and lost a heartbreaker 7-6. Runner-Up in State is a huge accomplishment after a record of 20 wins and 4 losses. Above all, the girls showed passion for the game of softball and a love and respect for their teammates. This was a true team effort all season with a wonderful combination of hitting, defense, pitching and sportsmanship. A season to remember. Go Tigers!
