ABOUT ME
WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES!
My name is Suzanne Sandowski and I am the Team 6A Social Studies teacher. I am also one of the NJHS advisers, along with Mrs. Bartolomeo.
This will be my 24th year in teaching and my 22nd year here at HCMS, and 20 of those years have been spent in 6th grade Social Studies with some ELA years as well.
I received my B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University and my M.A.T. from National-Louis University. I am the proud mom of 3 boys who keep me very busy! Jacob is a freshman in college, Ethan is a freshman in high school, and Mason is a 6th grader in junior high. We love going to Sox games, Bears games, and Bulls games as often as we can.
Our focus of study in 6th grade is Ancient Civilizations, which will include Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece, and Rome. Geography will also encompass our studies of each of these civilizations.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you- let's have a fabulous year together!
