Week of April 20th-April 25th

Thank you for another great week! Students are showing up to our zoom classes excited and ready to work. Please continue to check your email for daily zoom invitations. I will continue to work on specific skills in math and reading with your child. Once again, please refer to the district webpage for the remote learning plan. I am to linking extra assignments for your child to work on when they are not zooming with me. Please refer to SI Math and/or SI ELA. Please remember that you do not have to print everything unless you want to. You can always have your child read the stories on the computer and write their answers on notebook paper. Week of April 6th-April 10th

I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to zoom with your students! I will continue to send dialy links for our zoom classes each evening. Please also refer to the district remote learning plan link for daily assignments to work on outside of our zoom class. Click 4th grade and scroll down to SI MATH or SI ELA. You will see my name with assignments and links. You can also access these assignments in the downloads section of my teacher page. The document is called "Closure Learning Plan April 6-10". Both math and ELA will be on this document.

Week of March 30th-April 3rd

I hope that you are all doing well! I am so grateful that I got to speak with you and your children this past week. I will be checking in again later this week through email so that we can schedule another call or zoom.  At this time, school will remain closed until at last April 13th. If you are looking for something fun to do with your students, please consider the virtual spring break that the district shared. I have included the virtual spring break attachment in my downloads. I have also included virtual lessons in my downloads if you are looking for learning opportunities for you child. Please know that the spring break lessons that I am sharing with you are completely optional. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions.

I am so excited to start virtually teaching your students beginning Monday April 6th (more directions/times will come through individual emails).

Feel free to download the weekly plan as a PDF so that you will have the daily outline for the week. As a PDF, all the hyperlinks are active. For the math worksheets, you can print them or write the problems and answers on notebook paper. 

To Access Freckle:

Everyone has a "Freckle" account with their homeroom teacher as well as my class. They can choose to enter with whichever code/class that they would like.  You will need this for a few of the assignments.

1. Go to student.freckle.com

2. Mrs. Bakke's Class Code: y7tn7k (If you choose to log in with your homeroom teacher’s class code, please visit their website for the code).

3. Type your first name and last initial in boxes given.

To Access Scholastic Story Works:

1. Go to https://storyworks.scholastic.com/

2. Click "Log in"

3. Click "I am a Student"

4. Enter Classroom Password: chtigers4

Closure Information March 17-21

~You should have received an email invitation for your child to join our Epic! Books for Kids classroom. This website has TONS of free books for your child to listen to while they read along. Let your child pick any book that interests them. I will keep track of their reading through my teacher page. I would like them to read for at least 20 minutes per day. 

~If your student is in my math class, please have them log into ZEARN and FasttMath everyday.
