Hi Orchestra Families!
This week's video is ready! (I apologize in advance for how distractingly terrible my hair is!!!)
The first half of the video is full of our regular ridiculous announcements. The second half is the recruitment video we put together of the kids. It turned out AMAZING! Huge thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a video. They are absolutely fantastic! We can't thank you enough! Enjoy checking yourselves out. You're famous!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who shared their pictures with me. (FYI: I tried to reply to everyone with a thank you email but some of the emails wouldn't go through. But I definitely do THANK YOU!) I will happily take more pictures over the next few days. I love the videos but for some reason they are not cooperating with me right now!?! But if you have any group friend pictures, concert pictures, smiling face pictures, etc. I would love to see them. Thank you!
So here is this week's video! Please be sure to watch to the end to see the awesome recruitment video with so many familiar faces. It's awesome!
As always, thank you for everything! I miss the kids sooooo incredibly much and cannot wait to be back together again!!!
Quinlan and Fabish:
I have to thank so many of you for posting on our "Orchestra Memes and Jokes Wall." You guys are absolutely hilarious! I am going to have to print these out and wallpaper the orchestra room with them in the fall. Thank you for making me laugh!!!

6th Grade: Log into smartmusic.com and take a look at “A Pirate’s Dream.” Remember those f and c naturals. If you see a quarter note with a slash through the stem that means you’re to play those as two 8th notes instead of 1 quarter note. Listen to the piece on smartmusic.com and you’ll hear the 8th notes in place of the quarter notes. Let me know if you like this piece. Is this something you’d like to play in the future? 7/8th Grade: Log into smartmusic.com and take a look at “Allegro Spiritoso.” Let me know if you like this piece. Is this something you’d like to play in the future?
Free choice day! Choose a favorite exercise from the book, one of our pieces from orchestra, something from smartmusic.com, or a favorite you’ve found on your own. Have fun and enjoy sharing your music with your families!
