Social Studies Suzanne Sandowski - Sixth Grade  (Send e-mail)

Welcome 6th graders! I'm so thrilled to be your Social Studies teacher this year! We will be exploring several of the world's ancient civilizations, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, Greece, and Rome. Geography will also encompass our studies.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you- let's have a fantastic year together!

Mrs. Sandowski :)

Social Studies Mission Statement:
Our mission is to create enlightened citizens who are able to critically investigate historical events in order to interpret their significance on society and bridge the past, present, and future through informed decision making.

BLOCK SCHEDULE
FOR SS/SCI:
Maroon Days- Periods 1,3,6
Gold Days-Periods 2,4,7
Fridays- Both SS & SCI for 43 minutes

**ATTENTION STUDENTS!**
A reminder- when you are absent, it is EXTREMELY important that you check-in with EVERY teacher the day you return! Since we block for SS and SCI, you need to make sure that you check-in with BOTH Mrs. Nemeth and myself to get your make-up work (even if you don't see one of us for class that day)! If you do not, you will be very behind the rest of the class- thank you!

**The library is open every day before school from 7:00-7:40am and after school from 2:15-3:30pm. Any student that needs a quiet place to work can always start in the HCMS library.

**Look under "Cool Links" for the chapters of your Social Studies book!**
