Our field trip is coming up! Be sure to eat a BIG breakfast that day! We will not being having snack! Pack your child's lunch in a brown paper bag with disposable items only! Dress for the weather that day!
Don't forget to send in your White T-Shirt for Tie Dye day! We will be tie dying our shirts to wear on Field Day! You no longer need to send in $2.00 for the cost of the paint. We have raised enough money with our Box Tops to pay for it for our students!
Dining with Dad is coming up on Wednesday, May 23rd. Dads can bring in a blanket, lunch and some outdoor activity to play with their child. It will be from 11:20-12:20. If dad can not make it; grandpa, grandpa, mom or anyone can come in place for dad!
We got our class pets!
Caterpillars! We are so excited to watch them grow and change into beauitful butterflies in the next few weeks!
Reading: Please use the Retelling Chart in your child's book bag as a tool to help them retell their stories. The kids are using these in writing as well. They are learning to discuss important events with good language and details with this tool.
We are having a blast reading the Flat Stanley series! Miss A. reads a chapter each day and we can't wait to hear what will happen next. We use the retelling chart to help us remember important characters, events and problems throughout each chapter as we go along. Also, thank you for sending in your Flat Stanley projects! It looks like Flat Stanley has been having a blast with you and your families on new adventures. The kids love sharing what adventures they had while Flat Stanley was visiting them.
