CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely used character education program in the nation and we are looking forward to continuing the program here at Hickory Creek during the 2012-2013 school year. CHARACTER COUNTS! teaches students about six different Pillars of Character. They include Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness and Citizenship. The program focuses on helping students identify what each pillar means and examples of ways to make that pillar a part of their daily behavior.

CHARACTER COUNTS! activities can occur during academic classes, Advisory classes, and building level activities. This year, Hickory Creek Middle School is embracing the theme "Believe In Yourself!”. We will hold various fund raisers for this incredible endeavor. Please look for more information regarding the Character Counts Program in the months to come.
