Character Counts ProgramGrand Prairie Elementary School has been working hard all year to initiate the Character Counts program. The program highlights six “pillars” of good character including respect, citizenship, responsibility, trustworthiness, farness, and sharing. Character education activities take place in each classroom and at every grade level.
Each month, the P.E. Staff will be going over the definition of the pillar of the month and facilitates students’ participation in various activities related to that pillar. Classroom teachers have been provided with additional resources to further support the program. Trustworthiness - Be honest
- Don't deceive, cheat or steal
- Be reliable--Do what you say you'll do
- Have the courage to do the right thing
- Build a good reputation
- Be loyal--stand by your family, friends and country
Respect - Treat others with respect; follow the Golden Rule
